Customer Lava approached NMB to completely renovate her outdated kitchen in Urmston, Manchester. As experienced kitchen fitters in Manchester, we managed the project from initial design through to full installation.
The project involved removing the existing kitchen and knocking through the dividing wall between the original kitchen and dining room to create a more open plan layout. A structural steel beam was installed to support the new opening, allowing the space to feel brighter, larger and more connected.
Additional works included relocating the boiler, upgrading the gas and electrical systems, installing new radiators, and fitting a brand new rear window to improve natural light into the space.
By reconfiguring the layout and combining both rooms, we created a modern, functional kitchen tailored to how the client uses the space day-to-day, similar to many of the bespoke kitchens we design across Manchester.

This kitchen range is called Aylesford. A beautifully crafted timber micro-shaker door with a subtle natural woodgrain finish. Combining timeless character with modern versatility to create a space that feels warm, refined and truly your own.

The client selected a combination of Vintage Pink and Carbon, creating a striking yet balanced contrast that works beautifully alongside the natural wood flooring and the fluted feature wall behind the coffee station. Aylesford is available in a choice of 32 Paint to Order colours, giving you the flexibility to create a look that suits your home perfectly. From soft, understated neutrals to bold statement tones, the palette offers something for every style. For a more personalised finish, a colour match service is also available, allowing you to achieve a completely bespoke shade tailored to your space.

The chosen worktop material in this kitchen is the 30mm quartz in Pure White. The client opted to have the matching splashbacks and window sills.

The flooring used in the kitchen, dining room is and Engineered Oak floor. This was laid by the clients previous floor company who completed her lounge.

A Complete Kitchen Transformation in Urmston, Manchester

Open-Plan Layout & Structural Alterations
To achieve the desired layout, we removed the dividing wall between the kitchen and dining room and installed a structural steel beam to support the new opening. This completely changed the feel of the space, allowing natural light to flow through and creating a much more connected living area.
Additional structural improvements included the installation of a new rear window, further enhancing light and improving the overall atmosphere of the room.

The new kitchen layout was carefully planned to maximise both space and usability. A combination of Vintage Pink and Carbon cabinetry creates a bold yet balanced contrast, adding depth and personality while maintaining a refined, modern finish.

Alongside the visual transformation, this project included a full upgrade of the home’s services. The boiler was relocated, new radiators were installed, and both gas and electrical systems were updated to suit the new layout.
