Liz and Clive approached NMB in early 2021 with the view to completely refurbish their current kitchen which was looking tired. Liz was concerned with the amount of light coming into the space also and was one of the main issues to tackle. The extension to the rear had a lean to roof but the internal ceiling was flat so the proposal here was to open up the ceiling and convert into a vaulted ceiling opening up the possibility of adding a couple of velux roof windows.

The other idea Liz had was to remove the existing patio doors and remove one corner of the extension and replace with some aluminium bifolding doors and a full height window panel to the return. Quite an undertaking but as you can see from the final photos it was extremely effective in bringing in more natural light into the kitchen.

Kitchen Work.

Liz and Clive were looking for a classical look and feel in the new kitchen so were looking at Solid Oak Shaker style doors and solid surface worktops. They settled on the Mornington Solid Oak door which was painted to Partridge Grey.

Kitchen worktops are in 30mm Venatino Quartz and the handles on the kitchen doors are brushed chrome which were sourced by Liz after many days of searching!

I think you will agree the finished product is exquisite and a nod to the eye of Liz in choices made. I only guided on this one. Liz knew exactly what she wanted, we just helped her along the way.

Customer Review:

“We are so delighted with how Nev, Ben and Ryan have transformed our kitchen. The velux windows, side full height window and bifolding doors allow so much light to stream through and create a wonderful connection between the kitchen and the garden. Just what we wanted. From the initial planning stages through to the building and completion of the project we were very happy with how well the team communicated with us. Any concerns, questions and ideas were discussed thoroughly, and the CAD pictures helped us to envisage how our new space would look. Very reliable and hardworking. NMB came highly recommended, and they didn’t disappoint. The work was completed within the anticipated time scale and the guys were a pleasure to have around.”
